Cheek-to-Cheek in the Classroom?
Cheek-to-cheek. That fidgety feeling when your posterior is no longer planted tranquilly in the chair. When you’ve exceeded your endurance level for a topic, a facilitator, a video, a keyboard. When you find yourself readjusting your, well…cheeks every few seconds because you’re no longer engaged in the learning experience.
The problem? Stale training, or stale delivery, or both. Not an ideal learning environment for your employees, and a potentially wasted training investment.
The entertainment value of a program should certainly not be its primary drawing card. Content and design that meet learning objectives will always be the most important considerations. However, training that is fun helps grab and retain participant interest-if it also delivers real ideas of true value to the participants.
